About The Position

RJC Engineers is seeking an experienced Structures and Facades Engineer to join their Toronto team. This role requires extensive technical expertise in building enclosures, with a focus on waterproofing, structural connections, and façade system design. The position combines advanced engineering knowledge with client-facing leadership, including business development and relationship management.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Structural, Architectural Technologist, or Architectural Engineering (or related field).
5+ years of progressive experience in structural and façade engineering.
Proven track record in enclosure design, with a strong background in waterproofing solutions.
Expertise in steel and aluminum connection design and detailing.
Demonstrated ability to develop new business and maintain strong client relationships.
Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice To Haves

Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and engineering of complex building façades and enclosures, ensuring performance in waterproofing, thermal, and structural integrity.
Develop and oversee structural solutions involving steel, aluminum, and other materials for façade connections and support systems.
Manage and deliver façade engineering projects from concept through construction, coordinating with architects, contractors, and other consultants.
Drive business development initiatives, including identifying new opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and preparing proposals.
Serve as a technical expert on enclosure systems, providing peer reviews and advising on industry best practices.
Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering growth within the team.
Ensure compliance with local codes, regulations, and safety standards.
