About The Position

The Structurer is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within their field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in their job and the business. This role is recognized as a technical authority within an area of the business and requires basic commercial awareness. The position involves complex deliverables that have a significant impact on the area, potentially affecting the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are essential for guiding, influencing, and convincing others, particularly colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. The Structurer will provide advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business.

Requirements

  • 6-10 years structuring experience from a financial institution
  • Demonstrated quantitative and analytical skills
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with multiple functional groups in a cohesive manner.

Responsibilities

  • Pricing and developing innovative financial products for investors.
  • Conducting payoff risk and P&L impact pre-trade and post-trade scenario analysis.
  • Performing customized back tests and client portfolio analysis.
  • Participating in pre-trade & post-sales efforts, working closely with dedicated institutional sales teams.
  • Contributing to the development of new products/payoffs.
  • Creating marketing presentations and participating in client meetings.
  • Collaborating with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, and Finance to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure.
  • Building a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline, and ethics.
  • Assessing the risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions and ensuring team members understand and apply the same, demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation.
  • Adhering to Citi’s Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services, and ensuring team members do the same.
  • Obtaining and maintaining all required registrations/licenses within the appropriate timeframe.
  • Assessing risk when making business decisions, with particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
