About The Position
This opening is for a Structural Welding Foreman for Carrier New Construction. The Foreman supervises, assigns, coordinates, and evaluates semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel based on their skill, experience, and job knowledge. They are responsible for supervising and training employees to improve the quality and quantity of work performed, recommending training to enhance employee skills and productivity, and assisting in the development of training procedures. The role involves breaking down broad strategies into practical action plans and ensuring employees are trained to execute these plans. The Foreman is responsible for complying with all technical aspects of the job, including adherence to drawings and procedures, and for manufacturing, installation, operation, testing, and process operations that significantly impact the company's financial performance. They will supervise qualified trades staff and monitor job and budget performance across all shifts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree OR Apprentice Certification OR High School and 4 years combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, military experience OR Associate Degree in a Trade/Technical and 3 years of relevant manufacturing, shipbuilding, trade and/or military experience
Responsibilities
