About The Position

Apache Workforce is hiring experienced Structural Welders for industrial fabrication work in Houston, TX. The Structural Welder will weld and assemble structural steel components used in industrial equipment and fabricated assemblies. The ideal candidate has hands-on structural welding experience, can read fabrication drawings, and is comfortable working in a production fabrication environment.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of structural welding or heavy fabrication experience.
• Hands-on experience with MIG and/or flux-cored welding.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and weld symbols.
• Knowledge of structural steel fabrication and welding practices.
• Ability to set up and adjust welding equipment.
• Ability to perform quality visual inspections of completed welds.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Must be able to successfully complete a welding test before placement.

Responsibilities

• Weld structural steel components using MIG and flux-cored welding processes.
• Set up and adjust welding machines according to material and job requirements.
• Read and follow blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
• Prepare materials for welding, including cleaning, grinding, and fitting.
• Select the appropriate wire, filler material, and welding settings.
• Inspect completed welds for proper appearance and quality.
• Use hand and power tools for grinding, cutting, and material preparation.
• Follow production and quality requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and required PPE guidelines.
• Perform other related fabrication duties as assigned.
