About The Position

Riley Power group, LLC is a full-service maintenance and capital construction services company headquartered in Rock Hill, SC. We work nationwide on some of the most challenging, exciting construction and maintenance projects in the industrial sector. We are currently hiring skilled first-class Welders for multiple sites in the US. Pay rate is based on years of experience for this Tier 2 position, minimum: 2 to 3 years exp. Must pass background check and Drug Screen (Hair Folical Test) Please ensure resume is fully updated.

Requirements

  • Minimum: 2 to 3 years of GMAW-P & GMAW-SP experience
  • High School diploma/GED and/or certification in assigned area preferred.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision/oversight
  • Have working knowledge of precision calibration tools (weld gauges)
  • Be able to operate multiple types of welding equipment
  • Possess good trouble shooting / problem solving skills.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to work multiple shifts.
  • Willing to work the schedule set by the client and all OT
  • Able to read and interpret drawings, technique sheets and weld symbols.
  • Must pass background check and Drug Screen (Hair Folical Test)
  • Proof of Identification - Driver's license or any other identification card issued by federal, state, or local government that contains a photograph and the person's name, date of birth, gender, height, eye color, and street address.
  • Proof of US Citizenship (must provide one)
  • U.S. birth certificate (birth documents issued by a hospital, notifications of birth registrations; and Puerto Rico birth certificates issued before July 1, 2010, are not accepted)
  • Valid, unexpired U.S. passport or U.S. passport card
  • U.S. Certificate of Citizenship or Certificate of Naturalization
  • A record of Military Processing-Armed forces of the United States (Form DD 1966), provided it reflects U.S. citizenship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with the Fabrication of Submarine and Air Craft Carrier parts preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Welding experience with GMAW-SP, GMAW-P and be able to pass weld tests in all positions IAW NAVSEA requirements and with first time quality, UT proficiency is a must!
  • Ability to weld note 18 joints (full pen open root from one side, UT quality)
  • Performs welding processes on carbon steel (OSS, HSS, HY, HSLA etc.) assemblies to required tolerances using welding metals, metal alloys and with various joint configurations.
  • Determines weld sequence and welds parts and assemblies according to engineering drawings and specifications, and proficient reading weld symbols.
  • Oxy/Fuel pre-heat and carbon arc gouging.
  • Verifying weld size using weld gauges.
  • Will monitor heat input and weld in sequence to minimize weld distortion
  • Pass respirator fit-check and wearing of respirator for portions of, or all of, an 8 to 12-hour shift or as required.
  • Must be clean shaven for fit-check and dawning of respirator.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Flexible, willing to work long hours, safety oriented.
