About The Position

The Engineer will perform activities associated with all areas of structural test, including but not limited to static, fatigue and dynamic test environments. The Engineer will support a wide range of test projects, which will include small component tests and large full-scale assemblies.

Requirements

• Mechanical, Aerospace, or related Engineering bachelor’s degree
• 3 years relevant test experience supporting Materials or Structural Testing
• Experience working with instrumentation sensors such as, Strain Gages, Load Cells, Pressure Sensors, Thermocouples, Extensometers and Displacement Transducers.
• Proficiency in CATIA V5 (or equivalent), Microsoft Office
• Excellent written and communication Skills

Nice To Haves

• Ability to come up with and implement creative solutions for conducting testing including fixture design and fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Review Test Plans/Requirements and Coordinate with Stress Engineering, Systems Engineering, Purchasing, and Quality to prepare and ensure implementation of test requirements.
• Create and implement solutions for conducting testing including fixture design and fabrication and lead a group of technicians and peers for accomplishing tasks.
• Inspect 3D models and create documents for test setup.
• Troubleshoot and resolve test setup issues.
• Perform analysis for adequate size test hardware.
