This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. Join a driven team of test engineers designing, planning, and executing structural tests on next-generation rockets. You'll work hands-on across subsystems from test setup and execution to data analysis and troubleshooting, directly shaping the future of human spaceflight. Candidate should have basic knowledge of CAD tools, prior test experience within an engineering environment, excellent written and verbal communications skills, and ability to work in a flexible and dynamic team environment. Candidate will assist in test design, facility and test setup, and test execution, and perform various other duties including developing concepts and preliminary designs for required test equipment; evaluating and managing vendor designs; developing and maintaining test documentation; conducting facility and pre-test preparations, executing tests, and troubleshooting and correcting anomalies and discrepant hardware.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Engineering and a minimum of 2+ years of Industry Test Engineering experience
  • Basic proficiency with CAD tools and familiarity with test environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic team with shifting priorities
  • Willingness to work extended hours, off-shift, or weekends when the mission demands it
  • U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct structural test experience on space vehicles, aircraft, or large structures
  • Hands-on experience with MTS AeroPro or similar load control software
  • Experience with Dewesoft data acquisition hardware and software
  • Background leading test teams as a Test Director or Test Engineer
  • Experience designing or analyzing structural test equipment and GSE
  • Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, or electronic control systems
  • Knowledge of GD&T, instrumentation, or systems engineering practices
  • Aerospace or space-related education or industry experience

Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, and execute structural tests using MTS AeroPro and FlexTest controllers
  • Operate as load control console operator during live test execution
  • Select and manage test hardware, fixtures, and vendors
  • Write and maintain test procedures, analyze data, and resolve anomalies in real time
  • Lead small technician teams through setups, checkouts, and teardowns
  • Enforce safety standards throughout all test operations
