About The Position

This internship position is on the structural team and involves working individually or in a team under the guidance of a supervisor in an office environment. The intern will prepare construction documents, including foundation plans, framing plans, sections, and details based on engineered sketches and company design standards. A willingness to learn basic structural engineering concepts and how commercial structures are constructed is essential. The role also includes interpreting and translating engineering calculations and design concepts into accurate technical drawings, maintaining company drafting standards, participating in quality assurance of completed work, coordinating structural drawings with multiple discipline-specific project team members, and performing site visits with field measuring and observations.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree or equivalent in drafting and design, architecture, or engineering from an accredited college or university.
• 0-5 years of relevant experience in drafting low and mid-rise buildings.

Nice To Haves

• Autodesk Revit Certifications are not required but preferred.
• A willingness to learn basic structural engineering concepts and how commercial structures are constructed.
