As a member of the Civil team, the Site Superintendent will work under the guidance of the Site or General Superintendent. Requirements

Related work experience of 3-5 years in a construction supervision role, working on heavy civil construction projects
Experience in earthworks and concrete structures a must
Proven skills in management, negotiation, communication, and problem solving
Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work
Knowledge of office management systems and administrative procedures
Basic math, accounting, and finance skills
Proficiency in English language with excellent communication skills (written and verbal) is required
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task

Responsibilities

Providing leadership and to establish and maintain effective and harmonious relationships of the on-site staff
Having thorough and complete knowledge and understanding of the contract documents, each subcontract, the contract drawings, specifications and addenda, and to assist the Site / General Superintendent in the development of the on-site procedures
Planning and reviewing the site construction program with the Site / General Superintendent including quality control procedures, safety and environmental procedures, staging plans, equipment and manpower
Coordinating with, directing, and monitoring the Field Engineer/Coordinator inspection activities of the subcontractors, suppliers and own forces
Coordinating with, and directing when necessary, the activities of the inspection agencies, and to effect remedial actions if required
Establishing and retaining necessary communications between subcontractors, consultants and clients
Attending weekly safety meetings and coordination meetings with own forces, subcontractors, agencies and clients
Providing daily reports of work done and labour and material employed to the Site / General Superintendent
Reviewing and submitting for approval, all time cards, subcontractor’s monthly request for payment, material vouchers and invoices
Maintaining good relations and communications with all involved in the project including public
