About The Position
We are hiring a skilled Structural Steel Welder / Fabricator to support production in a fast-paced fabrication shop. This role involves MIG / GMAW welding, blueprint reading, and metal fabrication for custom equipment and structural components. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in welding and structural steel fabrication
- Proficiency in MIG (GMAW) welding
- Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings
- Experience with hand tools and shop equipment
- Ability to operate overhead cranes and forklifts
- Strong knowledge of shop safety practices
- High school diploma or equivalent
Nice To Haves
- AWS Welding Certification
- Experience with custom fabrication or machinery
Responsibilities
- Perform welding and fabrication using MIG / GMAW processes
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Measure, cut, and fit materials to specifications
- Operate fabrication equipment including: Saws, grinders, drills, Plasma cutters and torches, Shears and ironworkers
- Inspect welds to ensure quality and accuracy
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Use overhead cranes, rigging, and forklifts safely
- Assist with assembly, testing, and shipment preparation
