About The Position

Seeking skilled steel fabrication professionals for first-shift positions in York, Pennsylvania. Openings are available for Structural Steel Fitters and Welder-Fitters. Candidates should have experience working with structural steel, reading blueprints, and using fabrication equipment. Pay is based on experience, up to $25.00 per hour. This is a full-time, direct-hire position.

Requirements

Previous structural steel fitting, welding, or fabrication experience.
Structural Steel Fitters must have at least 3 years of structural steel fabrication experience.
Welder-Fitters must have previous experience with structural steel welding and fitting.
Ability to read and understand blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
Familiarity with welding processes, materials, and equipment.
Ability to set up and operate a track torch.
Welder-Fitter applicants must be able to pass all required Flux Core Welding tests.
Strong measuring, layout, and attention-to-detail skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Commitment to quality and workplace safety.

Nice To Haves

AWS or other relevant welding certifications.

Responsibilities

Review blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications before starting projects.
Measure, mark, position, and fit steel components to meet project requirements.
Complete fitting, fabrication, and welding work based on the assigned position.
Set up and operate a track torch.
Safely use and maintain welding machines, tools, and related equipment.
Check finished work for proper measurements, accuracy, and quality.
Coordinate with coworkers and supervisors to complete jobs on schedule.
Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all shop safety procedures.
