About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager (OSHPD) to lead structural engineering projects for major healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing OSHPD healthcare projects, leading multidisciplinary design teams, and delivering high-quality structural engineering solutions from concept through construction.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of structural engineering experience in Healthcare (OSHPD) projects.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering with an emphasis/specialization in Structural Engineering.
  • California Structural Engineer (S.E.) License.
  • Relevant experience with structural materials including: Steel, Concrete, Masonry, Wood, Metal Studs
  • Experience in seismically active areas
  • Proficiency with structural engineering design software: ETABS, RISA 3D, SAFE
  • Familiarity with applicable codes and standards for the design and construction of major healthcare (OSHPD) building projects.
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate internally with engineers, drafters, and the broader design team/consultants to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Act as the Prime Consultant on projects and lead other design professionals.
  • Attend meetings with clients and design team members and serve as the primary point of contact.
  • Lead the design of buildings varying in size, use, and complexity.
  • Maintain overall responsibility for the management of assigned projects.
  • Leverage experience to provide guidance and mentor junior team members.
  • Function as Project Engineer on projects as needed.
  • Prepare construction drawings and develop structural systems using a variety of materials.
  • Prepare structural calculations to justify design solutions.
  • Perform construction administration tasks, coordinate with construction professionals, conduct site visits, review shop drawings, and respond to RFIs.
  • Perform feasibility studies and existing conditions assessments.
  • Establish project fees and track costs to maintain budgets and profitability.
  • Monitor project schedules to meet design team commitments and exceed client expectations.
  • Review deliverables and provide quality assurance and quality control.
  • Draft proposals and review contracts.
