About The Position

French & Parrello Associates (FPA) is seeking a Structural Project Engineer for our Telecom Department in Wall, NJ. This role involves performing structural analysis and design for telecommunication structures, utilizing engineering software, reviewing technical documents, developing construction drawings, coordinating with various stakeholders, conducting field visits, and assisting with project proposals and budgets.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required
3–5 years of relevant structural engineering experience in the telecommunications industry.
Proficiency with O-Calc, tnxTower, RISA, and other structural analysis software.
EIT certification required
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree a plus.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit preferred.
Familiarity with applicable standards and codes such as TIA-222, AISC, and ACI.
PE license or ability to obtain within 12 months preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform structural analysis and design for telecommunication towers, monopoles, rooftops, and related structures.
Utilize engineering software such as O-Calc, RISA Tower, AutoCAD, and other industry tools to complete structural evaluations and prepare detailed reports.
Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and client standards to ensure compliance with applicable codes and design requirements.
Develop construction drawings, calculations, and documentation to support new installations, upgrades, and modifications.
Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and contractors to ensure project deliverables are accurate and completed on schedule.
Conduct field visits and inspections as required to gather site-specific data and verify structural conditions.
Assist in preparing proposals, project budgets, and schedules as needed.
