About The Position

C&S Companies is seeking a motivated Structural Project Engineer to join our Facilities (SESW) group. This is a production-focused role suited for a detail-oriented engineer who thrives in a fast-paced design environment and takes ownership of deliverables from concept through construction documents. The ideal candidate brings 3 to 7 years of hands-on structural design experience and is comfortable working across multiple concurrent projects within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited program
  • 3 to 7 years of structural engineering experience in a consulting or design firm environment
  • Proficiency in Revit for structural modeling and documentation
  • Working knowledge of structural analysis software (STAAD, RAM, Enercalc, or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with applicable building codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, NDS)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a production-driven setting
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with facilities projects such as commercial buildings, government facilities, industrial structures, or similar building types
  • Exposure to construction administration, including RFI and submittal review
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary AEC firm
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification

Responsibilities

  • Prepare structural design calculations, drawings, and specifications for new construction and renovation projects across a variety of facility types, including commercial, industrial, and public facilities
  • Develop and maintain Revit models for structural systems, coordinating with architectural and MEP disciplines within a BIM environment
  • Perform structural analysis using software such as STAAD, RAM, Enercalc, TEDDS, or similar tool
  • Produce construction documents and details for structural systems including concrete, structural steel, masonry, timber, and light-gauge framing
  • Support project managers and senior engineers in meeting project schedules, budgets, and quality standards
  • Coordinate with internal disciplines and external consultants to resolve design conflicts and advance project delivery
  • Respond to requests for information (RFIs) and review submittals during the construction administration phase
  • Contribute to multiple active projects simultaneously, maintaining a high level of production output
