About The Position

AEIS is seeking a skilled and dedicated Facade & Structural Inspector to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all buildings within our city comply with safety regulations and codes. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and construction teams to conduct thorough inspections and provide accurate reports on the condition of building facades and structures. To be successful in this position, you must have a strong knowledge of building codes and regulations, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Requirements

  • BS Civil Engineering graduate
  • ICC Masonry, ACI Concrete Construction Special Inspector, ICC Bolting
  • At least one (1) year proven track record on facade and/or structural inspection.
  • Experience on thermographic analysis of building envelope and soundness test

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of building facades and structures to ensure compliance with safety regulations and codes.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to identify and address any structural or facade issues.
  • Provide accurate and detailed reports on the condition of building facades and structures.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of building codes and regulations and stay up-to-date with any changes or updates.
  • Communicate effectively with building owners, contractors, and other stakeholders to discuss inspection findings and necessary actions.
  • Identify potential safety hazards and recommend solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Perform follow-up inspections to ensure that any necessary repairs or improvements have been made.
  • Utilize specialized equipment and techniques to conduct thorough and accurate inspections.
  • Work closely with other members of the inspection team to coordinate and prioritize inspections.
  • Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills to address any issues that may arise during inspections.
  • Ensure all inspection records and reports are properly maintained and organized.
  • Represent the AEIS in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
  • Attend trainings and workshops to continually improve knowledge and skills related to facade and structural inspections.
  • Collaborate with other city departments and agencies to address any building safety concerns.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all stakeholders involved in the inspection process.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while conducting inspections.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of building safety initiatives and programs.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all inspection records and reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
