About The Position

We are currently seeking a skilled Structural Fitter to join our team in Houston. This role involves fitting, cutting, and tacking materials based on blueprints and specifications, ensuring high-quality fabrication and safety standards are met.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Basic welding knowledge and experience
• Strong math skills and measurement accuracy
• Knowledge of structural shapes and sizes
• Experience working with torches and beveling equipment
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods (up to 10 hours per day)
• Frequent bending, lifting, and twisting
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Must be comfortable climbing ladders and working in physically demanding conditions
• Required PPE: steel-toe boots, safety glasses, and hard hat

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble welding joints
• Cut, fit, and tack materials according to drawings and specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints accurately
• Complete inspection reports and documentation
• Utilize conventional and precision measuring tools
• Perform finish grinding using manual and power tools
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
• Support additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor
