Shape Industrial Access Systems as a Structural Fabrication Welder (MIG/GMAW) Location: Waukesha, WI Reports to: Manufacturing Supervisor Hours: Monday–Thursday, 3pm–1am POSITION TYPE: Full-time, non-exempt A day in this role When your shift starts at 3pm, you’ll review blueprints, set up your MIG station, and gather components. You’ll square, position, and clamp assemblies before laying down clean, consistent welds. Throughout the evening, you’ll fabricate and repair structural components that keep facilities moving safely. What you’ll build Platforms and stair rail assemblies Slide, power slide, and swing gates Ladders, caged ladders, and associated columns Main structural I-beams, vertical columns, and knee braces How you’ll work Join metal using gas welding and a combination of arc processes (MIG/GMAW) Repair cracked or broken parts, fill holes, and build up material as required Position, align, and clamp components in preparation for welding Perform thermal cutting, drilling, shearing, punch pressing, and de-burring as needed
