About The Position
Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a fluxcore MIG Welder for a role with steel and metal shop in the Northeast, Portland area. In this role you should be comfortable working independently and with a variety of metals including but not limited to stainless steel, steel and aluminum.
Requirements
- 1+ year of fluxcore MIG welding on mild steel.
- Understanding of welding blueprints.
- Ability to operate relevant shop equipment.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 100lbs
Responsibilities
- Utilize fluxcore MIG on mild steel to weld as required by the manufacturing process.
- Operate shop equipment including: angle grinder, bench grinder, manual vertical band saw, shear, brake, punch presses, iron workers, cold saw, manual milling machine, table saw and others as directed.
- Willingness to provide support in other areas of the manufacturing process if needed.
- Read and fabricate from prints.
