About The Position
This Structural Engineering Intern role offers meaningful, hands-on experience contributing to real projects. The intern will support structural engineering teams, assist in preparing drawings, perform calculations, and gain exposure to site work within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Civil or Structural Engineering program (3rd year or higher).
- Strong academic foundation in structural mechanics and design.
- Familiarity with NBCC, CSA S16, CSA A23.3 or related design codes is an asset.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, S-Frame, SAP2000, or similar tools.
- Detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable managing multiple tasks.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing structural drawings and details using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Support structural analysis and design calculations for steel, concrete, and wood structures.
- Participate in site visits, inspections, and field reviews.
- Contribute to technical documentation and engineering reports.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Help improve design processes, tools, and standards.
