Requirements

Candidates must be pursuing a structural engineering major from an ABET accredited program
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Development of detailed structural designs for a variety of projects including water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, lift stations, tanks, vaults, and other ancillary structures associated with water and sewer infrastructure projects.
Develop finite element models to analyze various structures
Develop a basic understanding of the water/wastewater treatment process and the importance of the role of structural engineers.
Typical designs will include treatment process basins, chemical facilities, administration buildings, retaining walls, and other supporting structures.
Prepare construction cost estimates
Review construction submittments
