Buildings Structural Engineering Intern
About The Position
Garver's Buildings Team is seeking a motivated structural engineering, civil engineering (with a structural emphasis), or architectural engineering (with a structural emphasis) student as a Structural Engineering Intern to join our team in our San Antonio office. This internship offers the opportunity to work alongside and be mentored by experienced structural building design professionals and industry leaders. Interns will learn about structural building systems and various building materials including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood, while gaining experience in the competitive consulting structural engineering industry. The Garver Launch Program is an immersive, hands-on intern development program designed to elevate the summer experience. Interns will engage daily with fellow Garver Launch interns and industry professionals to build their network, participate in Garver's acclaimed wellness program, give back to the community through volunteer activities as part of Garver Gives, and enhance professional growth by collaborating with Garver's Learning and Development team.
Requirements
- Must be pursuing a structural engineering degree, civil engineering degree, or an architectural engineering degree with a structural focus from an ABET accredited program
- Strong desire to pursue a career in structural building systems engineering
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Revit
- Pursuing a Master’s degree in structural engineering or civil engineering with a structural focus
