Buildings Structural Engineering Intern
About The Position
Garver's Buildings Team is seeking a motivated structural engineering, civil engineering (with a structural emphasis), or architectural engineering (with a structural emphasis) student as a Structural Engineering Intern to join our team in our Dallas office. This internship offers the opportunity to work alongside and be mentored by experienced structural building design professionals, learn about structural building systems and various building materials, and gain experience in the competitive consulting structural engineering industry. The Garver Launch Program is an immersive, hands-on intern development program designed to elevate the summer experience. Interns will engage daily with fellow interns and industry professionals to build their network, participate in Garver's acclaimed wellness program, give back to the community through volunteer activities, and enhance professional growth through tailored training and programs.
Requirements
- Must be pursuing a structural engineering degree, civil engineering degree, or an architectural engineering degree with a structural focus from an ABET accredited program
- Strong desire to pursue a career in structural building systems engineering
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Revit
- Pursuing a Master’s degree in structural engineering or civil engineering with a structural focus
