About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern to be based in New York, NY, in its DCS/Transportation business. The internship introduces and develops hands-on skills beyond those gained in an academic setting and supports the transition from student to professional. Interns receive duties intended to provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience in their field of study. AECOM’s Transportation business partners with clients to build, modernize, and expand transportation projects, drawing on expertise in planning, designing, and managing transportation systems and restoring and replacing aging infrastructure.

Requirements

• Be currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aviation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Construction Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
• Intend to continue the university program after the internship, unless graduating.
• Have completed two years of study in the program.

• Strong technical writing skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the Windows operating system.
