Stantec's New Haven, CT office is seeking an intern for the 2026 Fall Term to support our Structural team on infrastructure design projects. Requirements

• Prior exposure to CAD Design programs (AutoCAD/MicroStation)
• Current good academic standing in an accredited engineering school
• Must be willing and able to take initiative when needed
• Must have the flexibility to learn new skills
• Good communication skills: verbal, business writing, electronic communications, and presentations
• MS Office skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong attention to detail
• Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters Civil Engineering Program

Nice To Haves

• Experience in OpenBridge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in the preparation of contract documents and reports for a variety of structural engineering projects ranging from bridges to retaining walls, overhead signs, and other ancillary transportation structures.
• Responsibilities include computer aided design and drafting, checking drawings and calculations, quantity take-offs, simple structural calculations, and field inspection.
