About The Position

SSOE is seeking a Structural Engineering Co-op for Fall 2026. This is an onsite position in our Troy, MI office. The role requires daily in-person attendance at one of these locations, and remote or hybrid work is not available. At SSOE, we don’t just talk about the future, we build it. Requirements

• Students must be enrolled in an ABET-accredited engineering program, majoring in Civil Engineering with interest in the Structural Engineering track or completed structural engineering coursework.
• Must be registered with the Office of Professional Experience Program or equivalent Co-op office.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license required. May be waived for international assignments.

Nice To Haves

• Basic computer, Revit or AutoCAD skills a plus.
• Rising Junior or Senior academic year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned tasks under close supervision of Department Manager or designee. Receives specific and detailed instruction.
• Learns and uses department standards, methods, and procedures respective to field of study.
• Meets various deadlines on daily duties or special projects as assigned by DM or designee.
• Occasional local travel may required for client visits.
