About The Position

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Structural Engineering Analyst to perform structural analysis, seismic qualification, structural design, and ageing management for steel, reinforced concrete, and masonry systems. The role involves developing and preparing engineering calculations, design documents, and complete engineering packages using tools such as ANSYS, SAP2000, STAAD Pro, and SSASI. The analyst will lead conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, regulations, and permitting requirements, and delivering all engineering deliverables within scope, schedule, and budget. The position also requires providing technical direction, review, and quality oversight.

Requirements

  • Civil Engineering degree with 3+ years of structural analysis and design experience in steel and concrete structures for nuclear power plants and/or industrial facilities.
  • Strong expertise in static, dynamic, and seismic analysis of structures and foundations, supported by both design-office and site experience.
  • Proficient in structural analysis software such as STAAD Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, and similar industry-standard tools.
  • Thorough knowledge of Canadian and international civil/structural codes and standards.
  • Familiarity in nuclear QA programs, safety codes, and plant modification processes (e.g., ECC).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage schedules and budgets.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Effectiveness in multidisciplinary team environments.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites.

  • Master’s degree is an asset.
