About The Position

The Structural Building Team is currently looking for a Structural Engineer (Intermediate to Senior) to support the continued growth of our Winnipeg office team. Your role will involve actively participating in the design and preparation of plans and specifications (steel, concrete, wood, masonry, etc.). You will participate in projects across Canada, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and supporting national project delivery. You will also conduct studies, surveys, technical reports, and structural inspections. Additionally, you will supervise the execution of structural work during the construction phase and provide construction support. Ensuring that engineering work is produced in accordance with industry quality standards and complies with the National Building Code and applicable Provincial building codes is crucial. You will coordinate projects impacting structural design with other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, architecture, process, etc.) and maintain and develop strong client and stakeholder relationships. Developing and mentoring junior staff through coaching, technical guidance, and ongoing performance feedback is also a key part of this role. Finally, you will contribute to proposal development, including scope definition, technical input, and working closely with project managers and business development teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng) with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba.
  • Strong experience with structural design software (ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to manage changing priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering is an asset.
  • 5-10 years of previous related experience in a similar role is preferred.
