About The Position

Windsor is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer who is passionate about delivering high-quality work and contributing to a collaborative team environment. The Structural Engineer role will contribute to and drive project success by delivering innovative structural solutions, translating concepts into actionable designs and comprehensive construction documents. Their contributions will be instrumental in ensuring structural integrity, optimizing building systems, and supporting sustainable community development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering or a similar degree from an accredited institution
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • 5+ years of experience in structural engineering design and plan production
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software
  • Ability to prepare, review, and stamp construction plans and technical documents
  • Experience in commercial, industrial, or municipal structural projects preferred
  • Strong design and team collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office including Word and Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A valid driver's license and your own transportation

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project teams across a wide variety of structural projects.
  • Perform engineering project design, drafting, and plan set production for complex structural systems, applying independent judgment on design approach and methodology.
  • Develop advanced design computations, detailed layout and design drawings, and author preliminary reports and feasibility studies.
  • Support project plans and specifications, preparing cost and quantity take-off estimates.
  • Write and review technical reports for both private development and public municipal projects.
  • Bring an enthusiastic approach to your work daily, with a willingness to see challenges as opportunities.
  • Attend council meetings and complete site visits as needed.
