About The Position

SOCOTEC is seeking a Structural Engineer to assist with structural investigations, analyses, and repair design. The role includes reviewing structural designs for code compliance; conducting structural analysis, document review, and research to evaluate root causes; performing on-site inspections and collecting data; and preparing reports and repair details. Site inspections may require multi-day travel to other parts of the country. Regular office attendance is required, with four days a week in the office and one hybrid/remote day. The engineer will also perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor or manager.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of relevant structural engineering experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering at minimum.
• Experience with AutoCAD and computer-aided analysis/design of structures.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel, including multi-day travel for site inspections to other parts of the country.

Nice To Haves

• Master of Science degree.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
• Progress toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or registration.
• Experience with BIM software.

Responsibilities
