Our Forensic practice investigates problems in the built environment and provides evidence-based solutions founded on rigorous science and physics. We assist attorneys, property managers, building owners, contractors, manufacturers, and design professionals with a wide range of engineering and architectural issues. As a Structural Engineer in our Forensics Practice, you will investigate structural performance issues, conduct failure analyses, and evaluate damage resulting from events such as storms, impacts, construction defects, or material degradation. You’ll contribute to technical investigations, expert reporting, litigation support, and remediation design, gaining foundational skills in the forensic process. With support from your team, you will work on projects in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, ideal for engineers eager to grow their technical and creative skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering
  • Familiarity with forensic investigation techniques and structural analysis tools such as SAP2000, ETABS, RAM, RISA-3D, PCA software, Revit, or AutoCAD.
  • Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a genuine eagerness to learn, ask questions, and grow through feedback.
  • A detail-oriented approach with the ability to apply fundamental engineering concepts and check your work with care and curiosity.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s or PhD preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct structural analysis and diagnostic evaluations for damaged or distressed structures.
  • Prepare clear, detailed reports and visual documentation for technical and legal audiences.
  • Participate in site inspections and field investigations, including evidence collection.
