About The Position
An exciting opportunity is available for a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) to join a well-established multidisciplinary architecture and engineering firm in Livingston, New Jersey. This role is ideal for a technically strong Structural Engineer who enjoys working on a diverse portfolio of building projects and contributing to high-quality design solutions across multiple sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and analyzing structural systems for commercial, residential, mixed-use, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, and institutional projects. This position involves close collaboration with architects, civil engineers, MEP engineers, and project stakeholders to ensure integrated and efficient design delivery.
Requirements
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with Structural focus required.
- Experience in structural design of commercial, residential, institutional, and mixed-use buildings.
- Strong knowledge of steel, concrete, masonry, and timber design.
- Proficiency with structural analysis and design software.
- Strong understanding of applicable building codes and standards.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering with Structural focus preferred.
Responsibilities
- Designing and analyzing structural systems for commercial, residential, mixed-use, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, and institutional projects.
- Preparing structural calculations and construction documents.
- Reviewing drawings for code compliance.
- Conducting site visits and field inspections.
- Supporting construction administration activities.
- Providing technical mentorship to junior engineers.
- Involvement in project coordination, planning, and client communication.
