About The Position

JGMS is seeking an experienced engineer to join our team as part of a project that is a multi-site organization engaged in the design, production, testing, and delivery of advanced training simulators.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering, or science field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• DOE Q security clearance or equivalent DoD Top Secret security clearance.
• US citizenship may be required due to government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in fire suppression design.
• Prior experience with structural stress analysis.
• Ability to review, understand, and apply relevant engineering codes and standards (e.g. UFC, IBC, ASME).
• Strong knowledge of special inspection and/or lifting and handling requirements.
• Prior experience supporting design reviews and technical interchanges with suppliers.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to think creatively and made recommendations to senior project personnel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineers across multiple locations.
• Review and disposition supplier design submittals to validate designs based on technical requirements.
• Interface with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are satisfied.
