Structural Engineer Internship
About The Position
Support engineering teams with civil and structural plans, details and recommendations for various projects. Assist with the analysis and design of concrete, steel and timber structures, including bridges and retaining walls. Assist with the design of foundations, slabs, framing and piling systems under experienced engineers. Review project requirements, site conditions and applicable design standards. Participate in field visits, site investigations and project meetings. Support plan revisions, contractor questions and other project delivery activities. Shadow experienced engineers and project managers to gain hands-on experience.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related field.
- Interest in structural, transportation and heavy-civil engineering.
- Self-starter and ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
