Requirements

Education: B.S. in Civil Engineering (required); M.S. preferred.
License: Registered Professional Engineer in Florida (required).
Experience: 10+ years in structural engineering; federal project experience preferred.
Software Proficiency: Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, RAM, Mathcad, Enercalc, Microsoft Office.
Technical Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Leadership: Leadership and mentoring capabilities.
Collaboration: Collaborative and client-focused mindset.
Standards Familiarity: Familiarity with UFC and Whole Building Design Guide standards.

Nice To Haves

Certifications: LEED AP BD+C is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform Structural Analysis and Design: Utilize applicable codes and standards to conduct structural analysis and design.
Develop Technical Documents: Create layouts, calculations, drawings, and specifications.
Lead Design Phases: Lead or support schematic and conceptual design phases.
Review and Coordinate: Review shop drawings and coordinate with other disciplines.
Project Leadership: Serve as lead or project engineer on assigned projects.
Supervise Team Members: Supervise and guide Designers/Drafters as needed.
Conduct Field Visits: Verify site conditions and measurements through field visits.
Use Engineering Software: Employ software such as AutoCAD, Revit, RAM, etc., to produce design documents.
Client Interaction: Participate in client meetings, proposals, and business development.
Coordinate with Construction Teams: Work closely with construction teams on design-build projects.
Prepare Technical Documentation: Organize and prepare technical documentation.
