Structural Engineer I
About The Position
This role involves performing structural engineering analysis and coordinating detailed design for steel, concrete, and foundation systems. The engineer will develop structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards such as ASCE 7, IBC, AISC, and ACI. Coordination with other engineering disciplines (civil, geotechnical, mechanical, piping, electrical, and process) is a key aspect of the role. The position also includes supporting senior engineers on large facility projects and reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, and providing construction phase support. While minimal, some field time and/or travel may be required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited program
- 0+ Years of experience (Engineer I)
- Design experience or courses in structural steel and/or concrete design
- Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Experience using the following software required: AutoCAD, RISA-3D, STAAD Pro, Mathcad, L-Pile, Bluebeam, Navisworks, and Excel
- Experience with industry standards such as: ASCE 7, IBC, AISC and ACI
Nice To Haves
- EIT certification preferred
