About The Position

Robson Forensic is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and at least 15 years of hands-on experience to join their team as a Forensic Investigator. This role is ideal for an individual with a broad understanding of design and construction who is looking for an intellectually stimulating challenge. The company will provide training to develop expertise in forensic investigation. As a Structural Engineering Forensic Expert, you will investigate structural engineering incidents, analyze procedures, apply your knowledge of standards and practices, write scientifically sound reports, and provide expert testimony. You will critically assess decision-making, operational procedures, and the standard of care to understand the 'why' behind incidents. Requirements

  • Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • 15+ years of hands-on structural engineering experience.
  • Broad structural and vertical construction experience (horizontal also is a plus).
  • Construction management, maintenance, and structural design experience in residential, industrial, institutional, or commercial structures.
  • Excellent technical, analytical, writing, and communication skills.
  • Strong ability to translate complex technical findings into clear, objective evidence for non-technical audiences.
  • Approximately 20% travel for inspections.
  • Clean background screen.
  • Driver’s license.
  • Ability to drive.

Nice To Haves

  • S.E license is a plus.
  • Prior forensic experience is not required, but professionals eager to apply their deep industry knowledge to a challenging new area are sought.
