This position would be based in our Minneapolis, MN, Fargo, ND, or Madison, WI office.

Requirements

Minimum of a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited school with and emphasis in structural engineering.
Licensed Professional Engineer or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
6 or more years of Structural Engineering experience in bridge design preferred.
Experience on a variety of state and local engineering projects.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to develop and produce construction plans and documents using AutoDesk or Bentley design software.
Enthusiastic, with a strong work ethic and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
All candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for new employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead the development of structural designs and engineering analyses for projects of varying size and complexity, utilizing advanced engineering principles, analysis software, and industry-standard methodologies.
Provide technical leadership in the preparation and review of construction plans, specifications, and design documents to ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and client requirements.
Oversee construction administration activities, including coordinating and conducting field inspections, resolving design-related issues, and providing guidance during project delivery.
Direct the preparation of engineering reports, quantity estimates, design details, and contract documents while mentoring junior staff in technical and project execution activities.
Lead bridge inspection and load rating efforts, which will require travel.
Ensure SRF’s quality procedures are maintained for all work.
