$69,298 - $99,644Hybrid

About The Position

This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, with three days a week in the office and two days remote. The position allows direct application of knowledge in materials, structural analysis, structural steel design, and reinforced concrete design. As part of an engineering and design team, you will work on power transmission modifications and upgrades, creating calculations, designing documents, and specifications. You will tackle challenging assignments involving investigation, troubleshooting, and solving structural engineering issues. Responsibilities include performing structural analysis and detailed design of steel frames, connections, concrete members, equipment, and foundations, as well as developing integrated structural designs and supporting calculations. You will have direct client interface, communicate technical information, and prepare technical specifications for structural materials. Independent reviews of others' work, including calculations and drawings, will be required. Coordination and guidance will be provided to other engineers, project managers, client personnel, and suppliers to ensure complete and timely designs. You will also review existing facilities to propose upgrades and replacements, presenting findings and recommendations to clients and peers. Career development is supported through peer-learning and knowledge sharing within "Communities of Practice." Travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to substation locations for construction coordination and field verification is expected.
