About The Position

Parsons is expanding its core infrastructure team in the Greater Toronto Region and is seeking a talented BRIDGE EIT to join its mobility solution team. In this role, the individual will contribute to creating innovative and practical solutions for various bridge projects and structures across Ontario and Canada. Parsons specializes in bridge design and analysis, rehabilitation, and construction of efficient, elegant structures that are sustainably integrated into their environment, having received numerous structural engineering awards for excellence. The position involves designing and managing projects with a strong work ethic, requiring a collaborative mindset and strong communication skills. Tasks include proposal preparation, engineering design, drawing review, and coordination with project team members, sub-consultants, clients, and contractors. Responsibilities

  • Act as structural designer for bridge design and rehabilitation projects.
  • Participate in the preparation of deliverables (design calculations, feasibility and preliminary-design studies, structural analysis, plans, specifications, proposals, estimates and work schedules, review of contractor submissions, etc.).
  • Work closely with engineers and technicians to provide coordinated designs.
  • Ensure that deliverables are in conformance to technical guides, company’s standards as well as applicable codes.
  • Performing inspections of existing bridges and other structures under construction.
  • Willingness to travel or relocate to supplier, client, or construction site locations, is expected subject to project needs.
  • Perform other engineering activities associated with this position, as needed.
