About The Position

Applied Materials' Systems Engineering C&F is searching for a Co-op to join their team in Spring 2027. This team is involved in system design, analysis, and product development. The co-op will be responsible for maintaining testing equipment and completing annual calibration procedures, writing procedures or test plans for data collection, completing finite element analysis assignments to estimate structural and modal characteristics of engineering designs, attending weekly meetings with their supervisor to report and review project status, working with system engineers to support measurement and analysis efforts associated with new system or sub-system design, and assisting with other team projects, tasks, and engineering activities.

Requirements

• Student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a similar field.
• Student must be in good academic standing at their university, with a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in semiconductor processing or manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain testing equipment and completing annual calibration procedures.
• Write procedures or test plans for data collection as needed.
• Completion of finite element analysis assignments that estimate the structural and modal characteristics of engineering designs.
• Weekly meetings with supervisor to report and review status of assigned projects.
• Working with system engineers, supporting measurement and analysis efforts associated with new system, or sub-system design.
• Assisting with other Team projects, tasks, and engineering activities.
