About The Position

As a Structural Designer at nVent Management Company, you will have the outstanding opportunity to contribute to world-class projects in a collaborative and innovative environment. You will retrieve and review all customer specification documents, notes, sales quotes, vendor quotes, drawings, and diagrams to build products that exceed customer expectations. You will draft 3D models and detailed drawings, ensuring accuracy and completeness. You will analyze data to determine necessary changes or modifications to builds, meet with customers to accurately interpret and implement build specifications, and coordinate and communicate with engineering, production, development, and management teams to ensure flawless execution of builds. You will also revise drawings and builds based on change orders and customer requests, analyze specifications and performance requirements to confirm builds meet all criteria, and collaborate with manufacturing staff to interpret builds, address questions, and make necessary adjustments.

Requirements

  • Academic background in structural engineering, architecture, or a related field, preferred
  • Previous experience in structural build, 3D modeling, and interpreting technical drawings, preferred
  • Proven skills in CAD software, data analysis, and project management, preferred
  • Abilities to meet the physical and environmental demands of working in a build office and occasionally visiting manufacturing sites
