About The Position

BBA is seeking a Senior or Intermediate Structural Designer / 3D Modeler to join its Lakewood office and support large-scale heavy industrial and mining projects. This is a key technical and coordination role focused on structural Revit modeling, drafting quality management, and oversight of drafting standards in a multidisciplinary project environment. The successful candidate will serve as a technical reference for structural modeling, maintain model integrity and consistency across disciplines, and help improve drafting processes, tools, and standards. The role includes producing structural models and construction drawings for concrete and steel structures, coordinating models with other disciplines, and supporting detailed design, quality management, estimating, budgeting, field work, and construction activities. It also involves providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior designers and drafting staff, as well as contributing to client interactions and business development. Requirements

Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or Structural Engineering Technology from a recognized institution.
At least 5 years of experience in structural drafting and 3D modeling using Revit.
Extensive experience on heavy industrial projects.
Strong capability in interpreting complex, multidisciplinary design drawings.
Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
Strong understanding of drafting standards, model coordination, and quality assurance processes.
Working knowledge of health, safety, and hazardous material regulations relevant to industrial projects.
Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate and well-organized design and model files.
Strong client-focused mindset and ability to build trusted relationships.

Responsibilities

Lead and produce 3D structural models and construction drawings for concrete and steel structures using Revit.
Oversee and enforce drafting standards, modeling best practices, and quality control procedures across structural deliverables.
Coordinate and integrate structural models with civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, and process disciplines.
Perform model coordination, clash detection, and data validation to ensure accuracy and constructability.
Review and verify drawings and models for compliance with project requirements, internal standards, and client expectations.
Identify quality-management gaps, implement improvements, and maintain consistent documentation practices.
Convert and manage models across multiple CAD platforms, including Revit and AutoCAD.
Develop construction quantities, support cost estimates, and assist with design-phase budgeting.
Conduct and coordinate detailed design work in collaboration with structural engineers.
Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and oversight to junior designers and drafting staff.
Participate in field visits, surveys, and construction support activities as required.
Contribute to business development through client interaction and technical support.
