About The Position

This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, with three days in the office and two days remote. Dependent upon location, a generous relocation package is offered. This position utilizes creativity and innovation to develop CAD 3D design models of steel structures and concrete foundations used to produce 2D drawing deliverables.

Requirements

Associate Degree in Computer Aided Design Technology preferred
CAD certificate required if non-degreed
Previous relevant experience considered
Proficiency in at least one major CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Tekla, Revit, SmartPlant 3D).
Awareness of American Concrete Institute (ACI) for foundation design
Awareness of American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) manual for steel design
Awareness of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)

Responsibilities

Support senior designers by producing structural drawings that are completed on-time and within budget, while maintaining quality, consistency, and accountability that meets or exceeds customer requirements.
Collaborate with mechanical and electrical designers to resolve clashes within the 3D model, optimizing the overall design.
Travel to client facilities with experienced project team members may be necessary to verify on-site physical design conditions.
Adapt to a wide range of technologies in power generation, mining, oil & gas, and renewables, including carbon capture technologies, solar, wind, battery storage, hydrogen, and natural gas.
