Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in structural design and analysis.
  • Direct experience with the design of payload integration systems or similar structures.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a customer-facing role.
  • Proficiency in CAD and FEA software (CREO desired).
  • TS/SCI Clearance or ability to attain TS/SCI

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Experience leading design teams or mentoring junior engineers.
  • Hands-on experience with structural testing and data correlation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design of mechanical structures for various payload and cargo systems.
  • Serve as a primary technical point of contact for cargo customers, translating their needs into actionable design requirements.
  • Perform detailed structural analysis (FEA) and create engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, integration, and test teams to ensure a seamless transition from design to production.
