About The Position
RS&H is seeking a Structural Building Engineering Associate to join their infrastructure team. This role will involve compiling data, assisting with permit and report preparation, material testing, completing elementary design calculations, preparing quantity takeoffs and estimates, performing basic design tasks using engineering software, preparing drawings and visual aids, and conducting field reviews of construction projects. The position offers a hybrid work schedule and requires the applicant to be located or relocate to the Space Coast.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited program
- Coursework in steel design and concrete design
- Awareness of applicable federal, state and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances
- Basic knowledge of production software
- Prior use of FEA analysis software (STAAD, SAP2000, RISA, Ansys, etc.)
- Passion for engineering and a willingness to grow and learn
- Solid oral and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, team members, and other key stakeholders
- Must be located or relocate to the Space Coast
Nice To Haves
- Master's in Structural is a plus
- 2 years of experience
