Requirements

• Ability to solve problems using sound professional judgment, creativity and creativity
• Takes initiative on tasks and in coordinating with other members of the design team
• Excellent organization, and communication skills both written and verbal along with excellent interpersonal abilities and willingness to work in a team
• Ability to create and interpret sketches, drawings, and various elements
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field
• Engineer in Training (EIT) designation preferred or ability to obtain within six (6) months from date of hire
• Minimum of 0-1+ years of experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Open Bridge Modeler, Microstation and/or AutoCAD is preferred
• Some working knowledge of codes, legal and design requirements would be preferred
• Relevant co-op/internship experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the preparation of drawings, reports, structural calculations and modeling for bridges and other transportation infrastructure
• Support the team in developing project quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
• Assist with fieldwork or site inspections as required by project needs
• Conduct basic interpretations of drawings, codes, and other similar materials
• Provide support in conducting bridge load rating assessments
• Use advanced structural analysis and design software
• Perform engineering duties on projects of various complexity as directed by a senior engineer/designer
