About The Position
This internship focuses on assisting seniors in the Combustion module to develop a well-defined process for identifying appropriate cooling methods for combustors. The work involves researching open and in-house literature, performing calculations using in-house tools, collating data, and identifying correlations. The intern will gain insight into the challenges of combustor design and potential solutions, with exposure to CFD/Structural analysis tools.
Requirements
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Enrolled in a Canadian university throughout the internship
- Able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable
- Pursuing studies in Mechanical Engineering/Aerospace Engineering/Material Engineering/Chemical Engineering
Nice To Haves
- Good heat transfer and fluid mechanics knowledge is desirable
- Good communicator
- Strong presentation skills
Responsibilities
- Develop a good understanding of what is involved in the Combustor Design process
- Interact with supervisor and supporting team members for guidance
- Perform the required analysis
- Provide weekly reports to supervisor
- Prepare presentations of progress and milestones
Benefits
- The salary range for this role is 23.70 to 34.50 CAD.
