About The Position

This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin’s Blue Moon landers and related products. We are looking for a Structural Analyst to use their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to join our team and positively impact safe human spaceflight. Requirements

  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical, aerospace or civil engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in structural analysis of space/aerospace vehicles/structures/mechanism's
  • Solid foundation of structural static/dynamic fundamentals
  • Passion for spacecraft structural/environmental loads development/validation
  • Ability to solve a variety of static and dynamic structural problems using physics-based analytical methods (hand calculations, in-house tools, and 3rd party commercial analytical tools)

  • Spacecraft Mechanism's/systems analysis
  • Hyperworks, NASTRAN, ANSYS, Abaqus and Matlab proficiency

Responsibilities

  • Ability to solve a variety of static and dynamic structural problems using physics-based analytical methods (hand calculations, in-house tools, and 3rd party commercial analytical tools)
  • Acceleration, shock, and vibration analysis
  • Finite Element Model development, refinement, validation, and correlation to tests
  • Solid foundation of structural static/dynamic fundamentals
  • Support configuration development and trade studies of separation mechanisms.
