Come join our team on the Engineering Services and Science Capability Augmentation (ESSCA) contract whose work is destined to have a long-range effect on future generations and has supported NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) since 1989! The analyst shall support the MSFC Space Systems Department in technical activities supporting the development of space systems structure, performing structural analysis for both flight and non-flight hardware. This work is in support of existing programs at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC). As an experienced structural analyst your expertise will provide valuable insight in the development, test, and certification of space systems hardware for a wide variety of NASA’s ongoing and future projects. You will provide technical oversight in the structural evaluation of Environmental Control Life Support Systems equipment and flight hardware. You will be expected to develop formal stress analysis packages for structural systems using strength of materials and finite element-based methods. Provide leadership and mentorship to fellow analysts while interfacing with program stakeholders and leaders. Job duties also include providing inputs to preliminary designs, development and delivery of reports and presentations to management, and collaboration with outside vendors and personnel from other NASA centers in the development of integrated flight hardware.
