About The Position

Performs stress analysis on new designs of primary and secondary airframe structure. Updates existing analyses to incorporate design changes. Performs stress analysis of subsystems and subsystem installations. Performs MRB stress analysis of metallic and composite structures. Uses FEA software including NASTRAN and PATRAN. Uses Abaqus for stress analysis. Uses Altair HyperMesh as a pre-processor and TMP Vision for post-processing. Uses CATIA V5/3DX for design and analysis. Interprets detail, assembly, and installation type drawings and models. Performs airframe primary structure layout and sizing.

Requirements

Active Secret Security Clearance required to start.
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Experience with FEA software including NASTRAN and PATRAN.
Experience with Abaqus.
Experience with Altair HyperMesh as a pre-processor.
Experience with TMP Vision for post-processing.
Experience with CATIA V5/3DX.
Familiarity with UNIX/LINUX operating systems.
Ability to interpret detail, assembly, and installation type drawings and models.
Airframe primary structure layout and sizing.
Hand/Excel based analysis of aerospace structures.
